Secret To Creating Wealth Building Habits: Stop Eating All Your Seed!

There is a huge epidemic and financial crisis looming over our society today. You think it’d be the torrential house crisis or flaccid stock market with it’s defunked 401ks. But it stems much much deeper than that. Many of us (especially Americans) are breaking a sacred financial law that God put into place into this universe long before we were even created. That law is based upon sowing your seed correctly. The epidemic I am seeing is that we are “eating” our seed… watch the video below for more information and to hear my plea:

So what does a 26 year old chick know about creating financial freedom or breaking free from the addiction of spending and unnecessary ‘seed eating’. I will tell you I came from a place where I was broke, living paycheck to paycheck, to making six-figures…and losing it all. I had the custom (financed) homes, the (financed) new car, the custom designed (financed) furniture, the (financed) big screen TV, and the (financed) 2.5 carat wedding ring. At one point in 2007 we had lost around $100,000 in 11 months do to poor choices and uncontrolled spending.

This may seem like a shock and a LOT of money to some of you, you may be thinking “RJ, I haven’t lost nearly that much cash…” but I encourage you to sit back and look deeper at your current situation. Are you in more debt or less debt then you were when you entered the work place? Are you struggling month to month but still enjoying your Starbucks lattes and your manicures. I have friends that eat out more than they eat at home, but hold 5-figures in credit cards debt. And I can empathize because I’ve been there.

Creating financial wealth starts with a total overhaul of your finances. Taking a look at the real numbers. Bank statements. Where is your money going? The solution isn’t to make more money (because your past 4-5 raises didn’t help you get financially free)… it’s about doing better with the money you’ve been entrusted. God will not bless you with more until you become faithful.

Besides a 10% tithe (which I believe is spiritually mandatory), I am encouraging you if you haven’t done it already, to get in the habit of saving. $10, $20, $50 per paycheck. Get an auto-debit if you cannot do it yourself and can’t control it. Have it go into an account that you don’t have easy access to. Start investing in things outside of the “all mighty” dollar… like gold & silver, land, and food storage. Invest in yourself, your skills, your talents in your business. I’d rather skip on a fancy trip so I could go to a business conference any day.

This is a season of growth my friends, we are in a time of grace to take care of our finances. To get prepared and to rise above. When the universe sees that you’ve been faithful with the little, you will be blessed with much.

To Your Success,

RJ

  • I am totally with you on that Rachel. I believe it’s not gonna be so bright ahead…and so I’m putting my money where I know it’s going expand, not shrink with the downward economy. Big of of Robert Kiyosaki and Mike Dillard’s Elevation group… You’re on the spot with this one..Great video as usual. Tracy :)

    Great post Rachel!

This is something that is NOT talked about enough and this increasing epidemic is literally defining our nation.

Kudos to you and Josh for following the God-given rules to creating wealth and securing your finances;)

Right on target Rachel! Most people do not believe there is trouble on the horizon, the thinking is the economy is getting better. I don’t see it and I believe the time to prepare is NOW. I agree with Tracy – sticking with Paul Haarman and Mike Dillard for advice and socking away the money where it will grow.

Hey RJ, excellent post. We are in a time before great peril, sort of like being in the “eye” of a hurricane. I am very aware of what is “going on”, and have made preparations for the near future. I spend a lot of my time concerning myself with things that matter like, what happens “when” we have a food shortage”, and what will I be able to trade with “when” the dollar ceases to hold value. I think most people are so inundated, and brainwashed by MTV and VH1 shows, that they have no idea what’s going on around them… well I won’t get into that, but RJ, we are “likeminded” on many fronts. Great post.

  • Awesome post Rachel, seriously! I agree with everything you said…I will say that it’s easier said than done, but that it CAN be done! :)

You are right on with your statement, “start investing in things outside of the “all mighty” dollar… like gold & silver, land, and food storage.” Times they are a changing! The US and the world is on a collision course with hyper-inflation. Great advice Rachel. Mike Dillard would be proud of you! Thanks for taking the time to share your insights.

  • I plan on posting several videos about preparing for the future (preparing for the worst and hoping for the best)… along with other strategies for investing and saving. I’m so glad you all enjoyed it so much!

Great post as always RJ. I am looking forward to your next video.

  • Well said Rachel, and thank you for sharing from your heart. I believe our nation is headed towards some really, really hard time$. Sadly our goverment does not have the answers, heck they cannot even pay their own bills.

We also need to invest in our financial mindset, or else when we get more money we will turn right around and lose it again.

I believe in the principle of giving tithes and offerings to God and have been doing it for many years as well as reaping the benefits of the principle. (malachi 3:8-12)

So many churches ask their members to give tithes and offerings, and many people do, yet they don’t seem to see the return on their giving, their harvest. I was like that until I came across Pastor Gary Keesee of Faithlife church in Ohio.

He revealed the missing link to why I and so many people miss out on the benefits from giving their tithes. So, I hope you don’t mind Rachel if I share his website, it is http://www.GaryKeesee.com or http://www.faithlifenow.com

Gary and Drenda Keesee have a heart towards helping people to be all they can be. They are not only minsters but entrepreneur’s too and they teach others how to be successful entrepreneurs.

Their teaching series the “Now Revolution” or “Financial Revolution/Financial Revelation” is a real eye opener.

I encourge your readers to at least check out some of the free teachings on their site. They have a right now message on just what you are saying here.

Thank you so much for sharing this video with each of us.

    Continued success Rachel.

I have met one friend that saved from highschool twenty dollars a check, bought a frachise, invested in a fund, became a millionaire. Yep, just one, and I have known aloooot of people over the years. We all have to learn to do it!! One stepping stone, upon another. Good advice :)

I love this post! John Mccormack wrote a book several years ago titled “Self Made In America” that talks about this very thing. Most Americans live life styles their incomes do not support. Rachel, people need to take your advise and be wise about financial choices and develop new mindsets. Thanks for speaking about this sensitive issue.

  • Awesome post and video RJ. I completely agree. It’s the small $20 changes that lead to big change. I’m so inspired with what you and Josh have achieved. You’re doing amazing!

Check out the Act Of Kaizen. It’s all about taking small steps that lead to large change.

  • Hi Rachel,

Excellent post covering serious topics that many too often neglect or do not give much attention. Your approach in communicating an important message is powerful to cause one to think.

    Thanks for sharing here.

    Rachel,

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this post!!! Great message. I totally agree. It really doesn’t matter what you make, really. People have made millions off a very little salary due to what they have done with it, “The Millionaire Next Door.” It matters, like you said, what you do with what you make.

It reminds me of a couple of things. One is Napoleon Hill’s “The Richest Man In Babylon” which is saving 10% of everything you get (and tithe). Imagine the money you would have if you did that from a young age and also taught your children to do this. I think automation is the key to being disciplined with this like you said.

The other thing it reminds me of is Fredric Lehrman’s “Prosperity Consciousness.” He talks about having 5 different bank accounts that you use for different things and divide the 10% equally between them.

You would have to listen to it to understand what they are all for, but one is an account where you will save up one year’s salary so you can take a year off and do what you love to do which ironically will allow you to earn more money. Even if it takes you 10 years to do this, who can say they can take a year off from work? Pretty powerful.

Anyway, I have started these 5 bank accounts and it’s very empowering, not to mention by the Law of Attraction, you are focusing on the amount you have saved rather than the amount you owe.

Thank for the inspiring post, Rachel!!!

    Karen

    Great tip Rachael!

It’s hard living paycheck to paycheck! I’m living that right now. I am in the process of changing that around by not spending more than I have. My boyfriend and are are going to be downsizing our apartment, moving closer to a park and ride so we can take the bus into town so we don’t have to pay for gas and parking. Just making small sacrifices now so we can take that extra money we’ll be saving to invest in our future.

Mint.com has been great in helping me see exactly where I’m spending my money and were I can cut back!

Thanks so much for awesome advice!

@Willie Robertson. I have just recently come across Gary & Drenda Keesee’s ministry and ordered the NOW Revolution 2.0 cd’s. They’re great but I was wondering if you know the specifics of how-to ‘name your seed’ and ‘exchange kingdoms.’ Like, when they’re giving, do they pray and write a memo in the check? Is it that simple? Do you pray every time you give? Is it when you give an offering above and beyond the tithe and/or also when you tithe, too. I’ve been looking for the step-by-step process. He mentions it throughout the entire cd that people will name their seed/desire and they receive – like his daughter and a pomeranian puppy – did she place an offering as her way of naming that seed?

Do you have the link for what you said here? “They have a right now message on just what you are saying here.”

Thank you for what you wrote, Willie, and thank you, Rachel, for your video, encouragement and wisdom. Oh how I wish I had had that maturity, wisdom and understanding when I was your age – I was in survival mode and am learning not to be – that I don’t have to be.
